Module Major

What is Module Curriculum?

Starting from the 2025 academic year, Handong Global University has organized closely related courses within each major into 12-credit “modules.” Until now, students could graduate with a double major or an interdisciplinary major by completing 33 credits in each of two majors in addition to the liberal arts curriculum. With the new system, however, students may also combine three modules from different majors to form a 36-credit interdisciplinary major.

As of 2025, the module system applies only to academic majors, and no liberal arts modules have been established yet. However, once the module system is fully implemented, liberal arts modules will also be introduced in conjunction with a reorganization of the liberal arts curriculum.
